Another Wednesday evening at the track! Tonight was beautiful and not raining! It was even maybe like 48 degrees! I took a leap and went with my capris and a tee shirt to run in! I had my vest too for the bit of wind out there!
There were two options for the track workout. 8x400m or a 4.5 mi temp run increasing pace every 1.5mi. Hmm.. I should have done the tempo but the coach said that either was fine for a spring marathon! So the 8×400 it was! Plus there are 3 other ladies for my pace group that were doing the 8×400. The goal time for our group was 1:59 per each 400m. I did a solid mile warmup so I was ready to go! Each 400 was a 400 recovery jog. Here are the results:
These were a bit slower than I wanted, but my IT has been sore the past few days off and on so I didn’t want to push it too hard. I am happy with the ~8:30 pace however! The 8 repeats were pretty hard! The last one my calf was starting to get really tight, but I was able to push through. Another successful track workout!
